While in Maui, my friend Brooke and I went to the Ali'i Kula Lavender Farm. It's a place I'd heard about and of course loving lavender plants and their wonderful scent, we were so excited to head up there.
"Created by Agricultural Artist and Horticultural Master, Ali’i Chang, AKL’s 13.5-acre farm resides at an elevation of roughly 4000 ft. and is home to approximately 55,000 lavender plants and 45 different varieties of lavender. Olive trees, hydrangea, Protea, succulents and an exceptional variety of other plants can be found on the farm, which offers the first and only Lavender Lifestyle experience on Maui.Though lavender is not native to Maui, it has acclimated well to the majestic mountain-slope with style and grace. Thriving in Kula’s Mediterranean climate, AKL’s lavender blooms year round in the cool, dry climate." *per website Read more about Ali'i Kula Lavender
