This Friday The Styleliner, which is a mobile luxury accessory retailer, formerly only on the east coast in Manhattan, the Hamptons, and Palm Beach, will open its first West Coast outpost in Venice. The shop will be a six month pop-up shop housed in a Quonset hut designed and constructed by Matt Winter of M. Winter Design.
While the east coast based, accessory boutique on wheels is still the majority of the Styleliner business, Founder Joey Wolffer and her business partner Sara Droz have created unique Styleliner pop-up spaces across the country including igloos in Park City, Utah and Washington D.C. along with the transformation of a museum shop in East Hampton to a bohemian-chic oasis. The Venice hut will be the longest running temporary location for the Styleliner to date and will house the signature Styleliner collection of unique, hard-to-find accessory designers from all over the world.

This is such a clever idea; I can't wait to go and check it out!

I've heard a lot about the Domincan Republic lately and all of the amazing resorts and places to stay. This one in particular caught my attention when I read about the villas that were designed by Oscar de la Renta. Of course everything is top notch from the Frette linens to the golf carts provided for each guest. The weather is generally steady in the mid eighties, but can climb to a more humid ninety+ during the summer. Known for some wonderful calm waters where the shallow depth provides the ultimate "take a dip" experience in my view. That, along with the twelve golf courses which were built around the area since 1991, has this spot high on my list for a future dream vacation.

One of my favorite fashion people is Diane von Furstenberg. Born in 1946, she first brought her famous wrap dress into the public eye in the 70s. Brilliantly, she is now designing swimwear for the modern girl and teaming up with Roxy to influence a whole new generation. I admire her longevity within the fashion industry and I love the fact that she is an over 60 role model for women of all ages.

I'm loving my new job as the creative director for The Stylist LA. My first task was to get the new studio up and running. With direction from The Stylist LA's founder, Emily, I set out to create a space that would be fun to work in, as well as hang out in. I think that was accomplished. I repurposed some items from the old studio, did some shopping at Ikea, and sourced a lot of items from flea markets and Etsy. The studio is now open for business and clients can come in and try on dresses in a space that is welcoming and just a fun place to be!

I wanted to share my ideas for things to do or give on Mother's Day.

New local restaurant, Chez Soi, is on my mind these days because I just had an amazing meal there. I'm in love with this site Birdaria and all the wonderful things they make. You can customize canvases, placemats, and trays to make beautiful unique gifts and home decor. Coffee table books are one of my favorite things, so I always love to give and receive them on any occasion. Any day is a good day to visit Cake Bakeshop in Manhattan Beach, but it's particularly fun to have them make you a custom cake or treat. Lastly, my love for Terranea never subsides so a gift certificate to their amazing spa is at the top of my list of amazing gifts to give.
